Lynndale Subdivision Sidewalk Project
The City of Tallahassee is designing sidewalk improvements within the Lynndale Subdivision that will enhance pedestrian safety and mobility in the area. This project will incorporate sidewalks along one side of Tartary Drive, Eastwood Drive, and Southwood Drive. The limits of sidewalk construction will be from East Orange Avenue to Castlewood Drive. The new sidewalk will connect with the existing sidewalk at the stormwater facility just east of Tartary Drive and Castlewood Drive. Additionally, minor changes to the existing stormwater facility, which will include grading and earthwork, are anticipated.
Anticipated Typical Section:
- Six-foot-wide sidewalk with a sodded separation from the roadway
- Street trees where possible
- Enclose existing open drainage ditches and install curb and gutter on one side of the roadway

The Lynndale Subdivision Sidewalk Project is currently in design. An Open House Public Meeting to review the concept design is scheduled for December 1, 2026, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Jack McLean Community Center, 700 Paul Russell Road. City staff from the Underground Utilities & Public Infrastructure Department will be on hand to discuss the project, answer questions, and gather feedback regarding the proposed sidewalk. Significant public participation at this event will benefit the project, and the City team looks forward to engaging with neighbors.
